Hey guys! I know its been a loooooooooong time since I’ve posted something, but I thought I would share this with you. A few weeks ago I decided to try my take on amigurumi crocheting.
Before I actually making something, I had to learn how to make a Magic Ring(MR). You pretty much start off any amigurumi project with the Magic Ring. I must have watched the same MR tutorial 100 times before trying it myself. Then I practiced making the MR about 100 more times just to make sure I got it down even though it’s pretty easy.
When I was confident enough, I went ahead and tried tutorial for a basic amigurumi head and body. I lost my stitch count sooo many times and frogged and restarted the head about 100 times before getting the pattern right and keeping count. It was definitely a learning process and tested my patience at times but I got it down… kind of. Here’s some pictures of the first one I ever completed.
A few days later, I decided to try and make an actual animal. Using the same tutorial, I made another body with arms, legs, and added bunny ears. I decided to make this 1 of 1 bunny for my boyfriend’s youngest sister because she loves bunnies. For my first ever try on bunnies along with a lack of materials(black saftey eyes), it went pretty well. Check out the finished bunny below.
Having black safety eyes would’ve been a lot easier to put on and nicer looking, but I made do with what I had. I also wish the nose looked cleaner but for my first time, it’s not completely terrible. Anyway, her new owner loves her and named her Cotton.
Thanks for stopping by!
