Good afternoon, everyone!
Today is the first day of the 2018 Spring Semester. I always dread the first day and first few weeks of the new semester. Finding parking at school is just as bad as trying to find parking in Downtown SF. I thought that since my Tuesday class is at 1pm, looking for parking wouldn’t be too bad. It wasn’t terrible and I didn’t spend that long looking for parking, but I did have to circle around main lot 10 times. There’s a lower lot as well, but It does require a longer walk and I was feeling pretty lazy. I eventually found parking and then walked over to Quickly for some milk tea and cheese sticks.
When I finally got to my classroom, the room was already packed with even more students walking in. The teacher took roll and pretty much everyone who registered was there along with everyone on the Wait List. We got the syllabus, filled out a student questionnaire and did the usual first day stuff. Then, we got told that we don’t actually have an instructor yet. There is also a 50/50 chance our class could get cancelled if this person going through the onboarding process doesn’t work out. If it doesn’t work out, hopefully I can get a refund for my parking permit. The campus that this certain class is located requires students to have a parking permit and if the class is cancelled, I will no longer need it. My Friday class is in another building that doesn’t have a parking lot, so I’d have to park in the local parking garage a block away.
I’m hoping my Photoshop 2 class on Friday works out. I definitely need to work on my Photoshop skills to kind of prep me for this more advanced class. It would’ve been easier to take Photoshop 2 the semester after taking the 1st class, but the scheduled time and date didn’t work out at the time.
Eh, today was a bit of a drag. I’m probably going to head to Target later and pick up som essential stuff and HOPEFULLY stop at Joann’s for more yarn. Your girl is in need of more yarn! I can’t wait to finally finish my throw blanket and start on a new project. I’m thinking of making a beanie for my next project. I don’t know if I want to knit or crochet it so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Hopefully I can finish the blanket in the next two days and have a new crochet update for you guys. Thanks for stopping by!

I hear you on the parking situation. When I was going to college, the parking lot would always be packed from 10am to 2pm because practically all the classes were scheduled during that time frame. Literally the only way to get a parking spot was to wait for someone to leave. Congratulations on your first day, though!

Maybe you should wait as long as possible to buy the materials for that class ๐ฆ That really sucks for you and everyone taking that course, having to find parking. It felt like you were talking about Houston for a while! Downtown and 59 are nightmares ~.~ Good luck with this semester though.

Well, I already have most if not all supplies needed due to other classes I’ve had haha. It just sucks if the class gets cancelled. The parking lot eases up after the first month or so when students decide to drop classes ๐๐.. i really hope it doesnt get cancelled because I dont want to pay for parking at the other campus. I’d have to drive around in circles a bazillion times to find street parking or pay at the parking garage. I dont want to do that twice a week, every week haha. Ughhhhhhh… and thanks! ๐

See this is something that I canNOT understand about college classes! Itโs not that there are not educated teachers out there, itโs that colleges donโt want to hire more people because they have to pay them ๐ Iโve applied at several colleges that have similar class situations like yours, but they donโt want to pay for more teachers.
